First Event at The Mona was a Blast!

Updated: Mar 21

On Thursday the 12th of March, we held our inaugural Cuban Salsa Night at The Mona, and what a fantastic night it was.

From the moment the music started, there was a wonderful energy in the room. We had a great mix of people joining the Cuban Salsa & Rueda de Casino class, along with many dancers who came later for the social dancing. By the time the night was in full swing, the dance floor was alive with movement, laughter, and great music.

The atmosphere was something special. The relaxed beachside vibe of The Mona, combined with the energy of Latin music and dancing, created a unique and welcoming environment. Many people commented that there is nothing quite like this happening on the Northern Beaches, and that they would love to see it become a regular event.

A big thank you to DJ Cus, who kept the music flowing throughout the night with a great mix of salsa and bachata, keeping dancers engaged and the floor full.

The venue itself proved to be a great place for dancing. The dance floor felt great, the atmosphere was lively, and many guests enjoyed the $12 Margies and the delicious food while taking in the evening with friends.

Most importantly, the feedback from everyone we spoke with during the night was overwhelmingly positive. People loved the combination of great music, dancing, food, and the relaxed Northern Beaches setting.

We are thrilled with how warmly the event was received and grateful to The Mona team for their support in making the night possible.

If the first night is any indication, this is just the beginning of something really special.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped create such an amazing vibe.

We look forward to seeing you on the dance floor again very soon.
